Polymax express sealant glue 165 gr Bostik
Universal mounting glue and sealant with extraordinary initial grip and great final hold.
Universal mounting adhesive and sealant of first quality based on a unique SMP technology, with very high initial setting and high speed of reaching the final bond strength. For bonding, mounting and sealing almost all (building) materials on virtually all surfaces (both smooth and porous and non-porous). Very high initial grip. Super fast. Permanent elasticity.
Fields of application
Gluing: eg. glass, stone, natural stone, concrete, stucco, numerous plastics, wood, plywood, trespa, iron, aluminum, zinc, steel, stainless steel and other metals, ceramic tiles, cork and mirrors. Assembly: eg. plinths, wooden slats, backrests, window sills, thresholds, strips, plates, insulating material, gypsum panels, polystyrene ornaments and borders. Sealing: inter alia internal applications for (plastic) frames, steps, skirtings, window sills, thresholds, gypsum panels. Also suitable for sealing cracks in walls and ceilings. Not suitable for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), PTFE and bitumen.
Property
High speed of reaching the final bonding strength Very high final bonding strength Permanent elasticity Suitable for interiors and exteriors Overpaintable (test in advance) Good filling properties Resistant to temperatures between -40 C and +100 C Resistant to water, UV rays and to atmospheric agents Glue 100% (non-shrink) Adheres to slightly damp surfaces Solvent-free Insensitive to mold Excellent adhesion without primer Acid-free, odorless With resealable spout.
How to use
Gluing and assembly: cut the nozzle to a diameter of at least 0.5 cm. Sealing: cut the nozzle crosswise according to the width of the joint. Gluing and assembly: apply the glue in strips or in dots (on 10-40 cm) and always in correspondence with the corners and along the edges of the slabs. Apply the material within 10 minutes in the desired position and press firmly or fix gently with a rubber mallet. Tighten or secure heavy materials for 4 hours as needed. Hand fixing completed after 30 minutes (the structure is now strong enough to be transported or subjected to a light load); maximum final bonding strength after about 4 hours, depending on the bonding surface and environmental conditions. Sealing: apply the glue evenly to the base of the joint and smooth within 10 minutes with the help of a damp spatula (lemon-free soapy water) or a finger. Smooth the vertical joints from bottom to top. Complete hardening after a few days (depending on the thickness of the layer). In case of overpainting with alkyd paint, the paint may dry more slowly. Stains / Residues: To clean tools and remove wet glue residues, use white spirit. Dry glue residues can only be removed mechanically.
